Ofcourse I was still 😁 alive and kicking the next morning but this campspot in front of the cementerio is rather special. I had explored the cemetery itself and as usual there was fresh water available. Besides that people visiting the place all were very friendly and 👋 waved when I did (and I actually always do).
Impressions of the cemetery
There are benches everywhere and there are toilets and even toiletpaper, handsoap and fresh water available. The gate is opened at 08h00 by the concierge or by two senior-ladies making a fitnesswalk over here. Every morning and evening many people come over and they all are very friendly. And even the police 👋 waved friendly to me when they passed.
In the afternoons 💤 Siesta took over, from about 14h00 to 18h00, and once more I always was the only one here (not having a siesta (I think ...) but ie reading an ebook). At about 20h00 the gate is closed and from then on it once more is very (deadly ...) 👻 quiet.
Then the 3 cemetery-cats and also some bats came by to 👋 Greet me.
This is the best series of pictures of bats I ever managed to take. I did so in Pantaleon, France, in 2017. You only have some 10 minutes per day for that, then at minute 1 there is still to much light, from minutes 3 to 8 you can (probably) "shoot them", and then there is not enough light anymore to see them coming. You need to completely setup your camera manually since no camera can adapt to these circumstances and speed automatically. So distance, aperture, exposuretime, iso and flash are all fixed.
And then the only trick is to pray, point and "shoot", and it helps to have the Panasonic FZ1000 camera 🖱️ camera.
And all my life I can't imagine how bats manage to change directions so quickly, then all "grip" they have is the air-non-resistance. It must be a matter of being extremely lightweight plus having large wings.
Valverde del Camino is 💦 rather hilly and not very impressive but it for sure has it's charme. It's surroundings are nice and at the town's website one can find several suggestions to make a nice walk. I liked it enough here to stay some tranquille days.
North of town is a free (but open and unguarded) campercarparc, so for "bedrooms on wheels". It is actually another form of wildcamping haha.
One evening Moon presented itself again and I took this timelapse.

Another day I cycled to the 👌 Embalse de los Cililos, a small reservoir closeby. This is a beautiful landscape, however there is a huge shortage of water. Unfortunately the cafe overthere is also very short of water, they don't even serve cerveza since it is closed obviously.
After that I had to recover ...
After 10 nights it was time to leave Valverde del Camino. Something that I had already (almost) planned for but yesterday (finally ...) the policia stopped at my place to ask (!) very friendly how long I would stay. I immediately told them I would leave the next day, so tomorrow is that day.
